Students attended a talk by the Deaf Can:Do Ambassador for Kids, learned a bit of Auslan, and found out how Deaf Can:Do help Australians with a hearing impairment.
Visiting Resthaven Aged Care Facility Mitcham
Students toured and talked with residents and staff. A great opportunity for different generations across cultures to chat. A great chance for a brief insight into the aged care health system and positive ageing in Australia.
Volunteering at Concentric Games Convention
A weekend of Table-top gaming held at Burnside Community Centre: IELI students volunteered to run a food and drinks stall and to help at the registration desk.
